The last time we purchased wireless body microphones was more than 10 years ago! New technology and frequency rules require new microphones. Unfortunately, there is no budget or funding set aside for these types of expenses and it's all up to us. 

For a a single musical, we spend approximately $2000 on microphone rentals for SOME microphones. This is what makes it difficult to save up the money we need for our own mics.
